Description:

It has been over a year since the distance learning were implemented because of the pandemic. Unfortunately, the policies that were issued to reduce the rate of spread of COVID-19 still experience various gaps in their implementation. Inequality presents and has an impact on various sectors, such as the digital sector and the economy. This inequality is what tries to be discussed more comprehensively in an online visitation organized by the Organization of Humanity FISIPOL UGM on Sunday (18/04/2021). In collaboration with the UGM FISIPOL BRIWork, the visitation entitled "Inequality in Education in the Pandemic Era". Florischa Ayu Tresnatri (RISE Programme in Indonesia's researcher) and Fajar Cahyono (research assistant at CfDS) were invited as resource persons.

Florischa presented the findings from a study by The SMERU Research Institute about distance learning and guidance for policymakers on how to recover learning losses when schools reopen in Indonesia produced by RISE.
