RISE Programme in Indonesia was invited to speak at Education Outlook 2020: Revolution of Higher Education in Indonesia on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. The event was held by Dompet Dhuafa Pendidikan to obtain information, input, and studies on education in Indonesia, as well as to share their ideas and experience in managing education for marginalized people, from basic education to higher education.
RISE researcher Goldy F. Dharmawan presented the findings of a study on the access of the poor to education, segregation of students in schools (junior secondary level) in Yogyakarta City, and their relation to the national education's challenges. Other speakers at the event were Prof. Dr. Ir. Nunung Nuryartono, M.Sc. (Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management - IPB), Guru Agung (GM of the National Leadership School - Dompet Dhuafa Pendidikan), and M. Syafiie al Bantanie (Director - Dompet Dhuafa Pendidikan).
