I've been a primary teacher since 2014. I've witnessed many stories during my tenure as a teacher. Some were fun, while others were a bit of a downer.
I wish to become a teacher who always keeps up with the latest trend in the next ten years. If I get a chance, I also want to become a school principal despite not being my ultimate wish. I still love being a school teacher. I feel comfortable being a primary school teacher.
I hope there are young, highly dedicated teachers to be directly involved in improving Indonesia’s education quality in the next decade. I hope there will be many bachelors of education devoting themselves to build this country's education system. I want a great change in the world of education, especially its curriculum.
In my opinion, the existing curriculum heavily focuses on knowledge, whereas every child has different potentials and skills. I hope Indonesian education in the future will focus on the children's skills to nurture their potential.
I also wish for a decent working environment. The relationships among my fellow teachers at work are not very good. The lack of teamwork is prominent in my work environment.
Hopefully, in the next ten years, all the things that I long for can come true. As a young teacher, I believe that education in Indonesia can be more advanced and better with government support through policies.
