My parents chose for me and signed me up at a college majoring in teacher training. I just followed along. During my time in college, I realized that I love the subject. I thought that was what my life should be. I was determined to become a teacher.

Peacefulness, a joyful heart, and being a good listener are the things I've received from being a teacher. The joy I felt did not come from my salary nor my position but from enjoying communication with students at school. So, if I could repeat the past, I would still become a teacher because I know how I enjoyed this profession.

Have I ever wished to turn back time to change the future? I never thought of it because it can only happen in fictional stories in novels and films. If I could repeat the past, I would still choose my current job, being a teacher. Never once I regret choosing this profession.

The decision to reopen schools to carry out in-person learning is left to local governments. Several regions have decided to reopen schools, while others put off the decision because of the surge of COVID-19 cases. Is devolving the authority to reopen schools to local governments the right decision?
